Mountain Engines

The original idea for adapting ‘Mountain Engines’ came about around the time I was fazing out of remakes.
I always wanted to adapt something out of The Railway Series instead of always remaking episodes from the Television Series, I thought about it and decided it would be best to adapt something that hadn’t had any sort of exposure or relation to the TV Series, something fresh you might say.

I decided to go with 'Mountain Engines' as it was a very interesting and underrated concept that was unlike most other projects I've done. Making these was challenging at time's but pushed my ability to build more elevated and versatile sets. This is also my first project to use animated faces on the engines to better convey emotion in the story.

My main goal for this project was to make the visuals and general vibe just like Season 4 with the exception of using Ertl models as that’s my artistic style that I’ve always used, instead of making my own Narrow-Gauge engine models in 009 or N scale etc. One thing I knew I’d have to do for this adaption was if I was going to have this fit the Television Series style I’d have to switch things around such as writing it to fit an approximate four and a half minute mark and take creative liberties on materials to use for specific things such as the rack rail they use to go up and down the mountain.
I hope you all will enjoy watching it as much as me and my team did making it!
